Personal History[]

Tammi was born to Daniel and Monica (Tomlinson) Hyde Sr. on June 2, 1958, in Horn Lake, MS. She is Mr. Hyde's older sister. Dan was an orthopedic doctor at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis. Monica was an American History teacher at Horn Lake High School.

During her sophomore year at Horn Lake High School, she began dating A.J. Adams. A.J. played basketball for Tunica High School. After a successful tournament where Tunica High School toppled Alabama powerhouse Blount High School, A.J. and Tammi celebrated. Because of the celebration, Tammi became pregnant. Her parents forced the two to marry. The marriage happened on June 24, 1974. Their twins, Arnold III (Angel of Death) and Amanda (Angel of Music) were born on September 2, 1974. Tammi continued her education and graduated from Horn Lake High School in 1976. A.J. and Amy Adams graduated from Tunica High School the next year.

Tammi began studying Nursing at Memphis State University. She followed A.J. to the University of Mobile. She continued her Nursing training and earned her Bachelor of Nursing in 1981. When asked once in an interview how she was able to wrestle in Tupelo on Thursday and still be functional as a student in Mobile on Friday, she replied, "I just don't have classes on Friday morning." After graduating from the University of Mobile, Tammi and A.J. moved to Somerville, TN. A.J. taught Physical Education and Driver's Education beginning in the 1982-83 school year. Tammi began working at St. Francis Hospital. She started to work for her Masters of Nursing in 1986 at Memphis State University.

Tammi came into the MVW as a manager for her brother, Mr. Hyde, on September 2, 1979. She began wrestling shortly thereafter in the Women's Division. She continued to wrestle until spring 2000. After twenty years in the ring, she decided to hang up the boots, but she continued to manage Mr. Hyde until December 2004.

In 2005, she went to part-time at St. Francis so she could help care for her granddaughter Monica, who was born in October 2004 with cystic fibrosis. As of February 2011, Tammi is fully retired and enjoying life as a grandmother of five.
