Personal History[]

Ruth was born on February 16, 1951 to Terry and Pamela Weerheim in Tupelo. She graduated from Tupelo High School in 1969. She began a two-year hiking and bicycling tour of Canada. She started in Vancouver in August 1969. By March 1971, she had gotten to Toronto and run out of money. In order to finish her tour, she needed a way to earn some money.

She met with Jack Tunney and worked out an arrangement. She wrestled for Maple Leaf Wrestling starting March 7, 1971. She wrestled frequently from March to October. She took a couple months leave and finished her tour and made it out to Port Elgin, New Brunswick. After reaching her goal, she fought with the desire to return home to Mississippi and returning to wrestling in Toronto. She finally decided to stay in Canada and wrestle in Toronto. She also began studying at the University of Toronto, majoring in Health Studies. She graduated in 1977.

She moved back to Mississippi in 1978 with a job in Jackson. She enjoyed her job as a physical therapist and chiropractic assistant. When she heard about the MVW, she sought an opportunity to wrestle with them. That opportunity came on September 6, 1981 against Miss Whitney. After wrestling in the MVW for eight years, she sought to go back into the Toronto territory. With its purchase by the World Wrestling Federation, the Tunneys didn't need her. She tried going to the WWF itself, but they weren't interested either.

This rejection fueled a rage inside Ruth that made her live up to her wrestling name. When she retired from the ring in 1996, she had become one of the most feared female wrestlers in the country. She lived and worked in Jackson until she retired in 2011. After retirement, she moved down to Gulfport.
