Personal History[]
Whitney Schreier was born on June 13, 1957, in Mobile, AL, to Shaun and Cleopatra (DeVille) Schreier. In 1972, she gave birth to her son Shane right after her freshman year of high school. She continued to stay active in softball while raising her son. She graduated from Davidson High School in Mobile, AL. She received a scholarship to play softball at the University of Southern Mississippi. She met her husband Walter Batie while there.
She entered the MVW after Executioner scouted her at a softball game in 1980. It took almost a year of negotiating for the newlywed to accept the surprising offer. In 1983, her son Shane came into the MVW when the Juniors Division took off. She had thought that she would become his manager as well, but Arnold didn't think that was a wise idea. However, he came up with the Moms of Mayhem stable of women wrestlers in response. Many of these women were brought into the MVW by Whitney because they, like her, either were or had been single teenage mothers struggling to survive.
Whitney continued to manage and wrestle until 1994. Once Shane turned professional with the wrestling, she stepped back from the ring and helped coach him. Bobby Browne, Whitney's wrestler, also helped develop Shane's skills as a wrestler. After leaving the ring, Whitney and Walter moved to Nebraska so she could coach softball at York College in York, Nebraska. As of June 2011, Whitney was still enjoying her time as the head coach of the York Panthers.
