Religion played an important role in the MVW. Arnold Adams was a deacon at the congregation where he held his membership in Mobile. When the family moved to Tunica, he continued to serve the Church through his various avenues. Many MVW cards were used as benefits for various church functions and for those who had various financial needs.

Each card would begin and end with a prayer. Several of the wrestlers were either ministers while wrestling or afterwards. While Arnold refused to convert the organization completely over to a non-profit ministry, it was seriously considered after the MVW's financial collapse in 2007.
